About us

InterCharter is a yacht charter broker, specializing both in cabin charters and in private yacht charters, crewed or bareboat.

With thousands of charter yachts of any size and type to pick from, everybody can find the perfect one. Sailboats, catamarans, gulets, motor yachts: the offer is so wide that the choice may not be easy, that is why our commitment is to guide our clients through all the phases of their charter experience, from the selection of the most suitable yacht, until the completion of the charter.

We always try to select yachts that stand out for the care they are managed with and for the competence of their crew or of the staff at the base; furthermore we aim to provide all support to make the whole charter experience enjoyable and carefree. The Italian branch of InterCharter was opened in 2004 and then moved to the UK in 2011 by the owners:

Fabio Samec registered under n. 31 in the "Ruolo dei Mediatori Marittimi di Trieste" (Ship and Yacht Brokers Registry) Fabio began his career in the marine industry in 1980 when he started managing a boat building and repair yard, while studying for his degree in mechanical engineering. In 1990 he used those skills to design and build his own yacht, a 60' cutter. He then concentrated on sailing crewed-charter sailboats, an activity that allowed him to sail more than 150,000 miles in the Mediterranean Sea and the Caribbean. Having acquired a considerable experience in the yacht charter field, Fabio founded "InterCharter" in 1999, its first headquarters being in Panama. Since then, beside his yacht charter broker activity, he's been teaching shipbuilding classes and supporting various projects within the marine industry.

Francesca Pettoello registered under n. 49 in the "Ruolo dei Mediatori Marittimi di Trieste" (Ship and Yacht Brokers Registry) Francesca started her career far from the nautical sector, with a degree in chemistry and a master's degree in e-Business Management. She worked first for two chemical companies and then in web publishing. Later, in 2001, Francesca joined Fabio on board his cutter as hostess and chef, thereby acquiring first-hand her crewed-charter experience and a sense for the delicate equilibrium and the subtle alchemy that make a successful charter. At the same time she began working on the boat, she started working at InterCharter as its web master and as a yacht charter broker. These activities grew into a full-time career, and she gave up her on board jobs in 2004.

Since 2011 our German-speaking clients are welcome to contact: Stefania Zammatteo Born in Germany to Italian parents, in her early years she constantly moved between Italy, Germany and Austria, studying and working at the same time. In 2008, she gained her degree in "Comunicazione Interlinguistica Applicata" from SSLMIT in Triest and the Bachelor of Arts in "Studi Italo-Tedeschi" from Regensburg University. She specializes in dialogue interpreting and technical-scientific translations (German-Italian and French-Italian). After gaining her Masters Degree in conference interpreting in 2011, she meets Fabio and Francesca and starts cooperating with InterCharter. Stefania is in charge of German speaking clients, through the website Intercharter.net.

Note.
In compliance with applicable laws, all contracts are signed between the charterer (client) and the yacht Owner. The broker guarantees that the contract is drawn up in compliance with international laws, rules, regulations, standards and practices governing the yacht charter industry. Our fees are payable solely by the Owner and all the funds paid to us are received on behalf of the Owner.
